Two (2) 303 Stainless Steel Bushing Spacers (to be used with standard 10mm rear shocks).
Four (4) 303 Stainless Steel Washers (2 required per mount).
Four (4) Yellow Zinc plated serrated lock nuts.
Two (2) Shock Tower Reinforcement Assemblies (with 10.9 hardware welded).
Two (2) factory gaskets (#3352 1128 734).

Problems with Factory Mounts
The factory BMW rear shock mounts are generally a little soft, to provide the most possible acoustically dampening in the vehicle. However, design precludes them from being stout enough to withstand the rigours of aftermarket suspension, or even badly damaged roads. A decent sized pothole can send a perfectly good factory rear shock mount to pop out, making it entirely useless necessitating replacement. Upgrading to E46 M3 rear mounts (a popular alternative) is not a guarantee that it doesn't happen again and again.

Rogue Engineering Rear Shock Mount Features
By producing a rear shock machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, we are able attain a more stable, and stiffer platform which to mount the top of the rear shock. However, rather than use race-only spherical bearings or even overly stiff urethane bushings, we specify Shore A 65 hardness rubber bushings (approximately 30% stiffer than the factory bushings) to allow for some level of street comfort. The orientation of the bushings makes it impossible for the bushings to "pop out" in the manner which the factory mounts fail. If required, the bushings are also replaceable, when the time comes to rebuild them.

Another feature is the reinforcement assembly which secures the rear shock mount to the vehicle. By reinforcing the top of the shock tower in the vehicle, it protect against the rear shock from ripping out the sheet metal. The reinforcement has its hardware welded to it, allowing for the rear shock mount to become a bottom-mount design. This means that if the rear shocks need to be removed, it only requires removing the two nuts and the single bolt at the bottom of the shock. No need to completely disassemble the trunk area to gain access. If being used with a rear strut tower brace, the reinforcement assembly may be mounted from the bottom, so that the rear shock mount can be secured in the traditional manner.

The Rogue Engineering Rear Shock Mounts are designed to be used with standard 10mm rear shocks, but can also be used with 12mm adjustable race shocks with the use of optional washers.

Description
After much Reserch and development and testing, Rogue Engineering is proud to introduce its Performance Front Control Arm Bushings (FCAB). A unique combination of CNC'd 6061-T6 aluminum and high performance urethane, we can now offer a bushing that is performance oriented enough for the track junkie yet without significant increases in Noise Vibration and Hardness when used on the street.

Factory bushings are more than adequate for street driving. However, when the miles start to pile up, the bushings are meant to be replaced. Common side effects of worn factory FCABs include, but are not limited to the following:

- Steering wheel shutter when brakes are applied
- Wheel (and steering wheel) shimmy
- Mysterious and irregular tire wear
- "Overboosted" steering feel (very light steering)
- Replacing factory bushings, with new factory bushings will return the factory feel.
- However, we offer something that gives you MORE.

RE Performance FCABs
With the numerous delrin/urethane/hybrid replacement bushings in the market, we vowed to make something that was not only effective, but simple.

- No clips,
- no washers,
- no multiple sleeves,
- no "race parts in street cars".

Some of the feature benefits of our Performance FCABs include:

- Servicable/rebuildable (replacement of bushing insert)
- Urethane insert prevents unwanted control arm deflection while allowing NVH isolation
- Eliminates steering shimmy and wander, especially with the addition of big brake upgrades
- Unchanged steering geometry
- Direct "connected" feeing with front end of vehicle
- Easy to install (professional installation recommended)

During our testing, we found that our Performance FCABs deflected much less than new OEM bushings. (see attached graph).

In our development, we were able to limit the amount of bushing deflection while also controlling the amount of Noise Vibration and Hardness being transmitted through the bushing itself by the durometer of the urethane insert. We discovered that increasing the durometer stiffness (to nearly the harness of plastic or delrin), we were able to limit the movement of the bushing so that it didn't move at all. However, we got too much Noise Vibration and Hardmess to be used in a street driven car. When we reduced the durometer too much, we had a very comfortable bushing, with stock-like performance. Of course, with our goals, we were looking for performance one could live with everyday.

Installation Notes

Access to the underside of the vehicle is required and professional installation is recommended.

The RE Performance FCABs reuse the factory "lollipops", as the aluminum sleeve of the FCAB is pressed into place (hydraulic press is required for removal of stock bushing and installation of RE FCABs).

**NOTE : For E46 users, you MUST have the newer, 66mm ID housings. Non - M3 E46 vehicles had both 66mm and 60mm ID housings depending on build date. Most standard E46 vehicles produced before 2/01 and ALL E46 M3 vehicles use the 60mm ID housings. We suggest upgrading both control arms to the newer versions (BMW # 31-12-6-774-819/820) including 66mm housings.

Description
Rouge engineering Black uprated rear trailing arm bushes,

Problems with Factory Mounts:
The factory BMW RTABs (Rear Trailing Arm Bushings) are a very soft material to provide the quietest, most comfortable ride possible. Because of this, we have seen factory mounts require replacement in less than 50,000 miles and 3 years. On modified vehicles, expect them to require replacement sooner.

Are your bushings already shot?
A simple test to determine if the stock rear trailing arm bushings require replacement is driving the vehicle in a straight line. While in gear, under full acceleration, does the car pull to one side? Additionally, under full, firm application of the brakes, does the car pull again? If you answered yes to either one, the bushings probably require replacement.

Rogue Engineering Performance RTABs

The bushing material used in Rogue Engineering Performance RTABs are now available in two different compounds, specifically for your needs. Both compounds now incorporate a silicone impregnated, polyurethane compound. The biggest different being the hardness of the material.

1. Blue Compound - This harder compound is designed for TRACK applications, where monoball components are not allowed. Less expensive than full Delrin bushings, these bushings are extremely stiff to provide the absolute maximum performance at the TRACK. Please note, because of hardness of this compound, these can transmit more noise, vibration, and harshness.

2. Black Compound -This compound is formulated for STREET applications. Softer than the blue, TRACK compound, these are stiffer than stock factory OEM bushings, and designed to last much longer than stock. Since these are the great compromise between OEM and our TRACK bushing.
RACE/TRACK

Our RACE/TRACE application uses a race-quality, high-load spherical bearing in a CNC'd machined aluminum housing. This part eliminates ALL deflection in the rear trailing arm.

This hardness is important in this bushing especially in modified vehicles, since they will exert more force on the rear suspension during acceleration.

The inner sleeve that supports the bushings is made from 6061-T6 aluminum, CNC'd to exacting specifications for a perfect fit.

Do NOT confuse these bushings with bushings produced outside of the US, with unknown material hardness. We have installed similar bushings produced by other companies which are simply too soft. In these cases, it would have been better if stock bushings were used since it allows too much movement of the rear trailing arm.

Description
Rogue Engineering RTAB Reinforcements,
Improve the handling of your E36/E46 in less than an hour! These RTAB reinforcement shims limit rear toe suspension changes of the rear trailing arms. These shims fill the voids that the factory rubber bushings, increasing the effective stiffness of the bushing without additional NVH (noise vibration harshness). These shims do not affect ride quality and are perfect for those who are looking for an improvement in handling. Factory Bushings Don't Last Forever. Where as the factory rear trailing arm bushings are a common replacement item, few realize that all E36 models (including M3s) use a "light duty" rear trailing arm bushing. Not until the advent of the 1996-1999 M3 was an improved bushing used, to handle the extra power of the later model E36s. Even if your car is relatively stock, these bushings are known to dry rot and crack, causing diminished performance. Getting regular alignments are pointless unless these are inspected regularly, and replaced when necessary.
