Description
Adjustable traction and launch control system, with full throttle shift facility

Put in simple terms, racelogic traction control allows you to drive both faster AND safer.

How many times have you...
Tried to pull out of a junction but excessive wheelspin has slowed you down?
Accelerated out of a slippery (or dry) bend, without knowing if the car will suddenly skid or the back end break away?
Tried to overtake a slower car without knowing how hard you can safely accelerate?
Worried about anybody else driving your high powered car?
Battled against loss of traction in a straight line or bend in the wet ?

...The answer is to fit Racelogic Traction Control
Universally recognised as the best after market system available, not only dramatically reducing the chances of an accident, but also positively enhancing acceleration and cornering (both low and high speed) . This is why companies like Aston Martin and Lotus Cars choose to fit the system as standard, as unlike other systems, it always improves the performance of the vehicle. The car becomes more fun to drive than before, giving the driver new levels of confidence in pushing the car to its limits without ever over stepping the mark.

Driving with Traction Control
Once you have driven a powerful car with Racelogic Traction Control, you will never want to be without it. We are so sure that we offer a 30 day money back guarantee if you don't agree. Acceleration out of junctions becomes rapid and repeatable, just bury the throttle and the system does the rest, constantly adjusting the power of the engine every thousandth of a second, searching for maximum grip. In a rear wheel drive car you can use full throttle around a corner with full confidence that the rear end isn't going to suddenly break away. using the digital in cabin adjuster, you have the option to control just how much the rear wheels "step out" before the system smoothly controls and mantains a controlled slide, from 0 to 30 % slip.
In a front wheel drive vehicle push-on understeer is cured, with the system setting the correct level of power to finely balance the vehicle.

In wet and slippery conditions the system really becomes fun, stamp on the gas and watch other cars disappear behind you as the car accelerates as fast as the grip allows without skidding all over the road. Acceleration away from traffic lights is so much quicker than cars without the system, that you'll leave behind scores of drivers with faster cars.

Launch Control
The system also allows you to do a perfect standing start launch each and every time..you apply and maintain full throttle then side step the clutch while the racelogic system modulates the revs and wheel spin so you have maximum traction at all times...with the throttle pinned to the floor throughout....wet or dry

Power Shifting
On most manual transmission cars you can also use the full throttle shift facility which allows you dip the clutch and change gear WITHOUT removing your foot from full throttle, ensuring fastest possible gearchange times and acceleration runs.

APPLICATIONS:
This system will work straight "out of the box" on most cars built before 1998. However until 2007 it has not been possible to fit this system to many cars built after this year, including all BMW models, for two reasons :
1.the car's DME would read the traction system cutting in as a fault and go into limp mode
2. Later cars fitted with CAN bus signal abs sensors could not be made to communicate with the waveform or hall effect pickups of the Racelogic ECU

CA has worked closely with Racelogic to engineer a way around these issues, finding a way to reprogramme the DME so as not to interfere with the system, whilst Racelogic modified their very latest traction ECU (until now exclusive to the latest U.S.Mustang cars) and on board digital controller (until now exclusive to the latest supercars) to handle the BMW CAN bus signals.

NOTE: BMW DSC and other factory stability and traction systems must be switched OFF to use the Racelogic adjustable system.Racelogic is not designed to be a replacement for factory stability systems, it is purely a traction control system, to be used in situations and conditions where the factory systems are too intrusive or completely prohibative.

In one of the images you can see the skid marks left on the road by our M3's tyres after doing standing starts both with and without Racelogic launch control.
You can clearly see on the right of the image the much shorter and segmented controlled "skids" as the Racelogic modulated power every 1/1000 of a second as it sensed wheel slip, to give as perfect a launch as physically possible, thus cutting down 0 - 60 and 1/4 mile times.

These systems and their installation for the 1999 -On BMW models are available exclusively from CA Automotive.

For all 4,6 & 8 cylinder manual and auto models,( please note of course that autos will not have launch or full throttle shift facilities).

PLEASE NOW REFER TO VARIATIONS SECTION TO SELECT THE SYSTEM FOR YOUR APPLICATION.
