BMW 5-Series (E39) Headlamp Upgrade with CELIS® Light Guide Position Lamps and HID Xenon

Hella’s retrofit main headlamps allow you to upgrade all BMW 5-Series (E39) vehicles to match the latest design and lighting technology standard previously reserved for the BMW 5-Series Facelift first introduced in September 2000.

Innovative Design

Each twin headlamp incorporates a round indicator lamp, modern DE projection module for homogenous dipped beam and computer- calculated free form reflector providing powerful long-range main beam whilst allowing the use of clear, pattern-free lens covers for significantly improved appearance.

CELIS® Light Guide Technology

The most distinct characteristics are without doubt the circular position lamps surrounding each individual headlamp module utilising innovative CELIS® (Central Lighting Systems) fibre optic lighting technology, a revolutionary lighting concept developed by Hella for the current BMW 5-Series and 7-Series.

Each circular light strip features prism optics and flexible fibreglass light guides incorporating the light output of a 10W halogen globe giving the vehicle its striking and unmistakeable appearance both day and night.

Includes OEM Bosch HID lighting to dipped beams.

Hella now offers retrofit rear lamps featuring innovative CELIS LED light guiding technology to upgrade the front-end appearance and total performance fo all BMW 5-Series (E39) vehicles manufactured between 12/95 and 8/00.

Fibre Optic Lighting

Traditional globe tail lights have been replaced with state-of-the-art fibre optic lighting technology. Four horizontally arranged fibreglass light guides incorporate the light output of eight high- performance LED’s (Light Emitting Diode) for exceptional intensity and outstanding homogenous appearance. Unique prism patterns on each CELIS Light Guide emit the light outwards in a directed beam. In addition, CELIS Combination Rear Lamps feature clear external lens covers giving the rear lamp its aesthetic appearance.

LED Technology

Besides its striking new design, LED Technology offers a number of decisive advantages such as low energy consumption, long service life and fast response times.
